Humane Society for Hamilton County
The Humane Society for Hamilton County focuses on saving lives, educating communities, and completing families. They provide vital services for household pets, pet owners, and abandoned animals. They help shelter, rescue, foster, and provide for these animals once they reach the shelter. The society is proudly a non-discriminating shelter. They also have a very high placement rate (over 90%) and are a low-kill shelter. They also have an extraordinary medical facility and through their Survivor Program they have saved countless lives. The fund also gives animals with life threatening illnesses such as heartworm disease and Parvovirus a second chance at life. 100% of the donations made to this program go toward providing the medical care needed to save precious lives.
The amazing, dedicated staff is committed to providing compassionate care for the animals 365 days a year. The shelter has a number of programs and services to ensure that Hamilton County pets are receiving the best they can.
The society is always looking for new foster parents. There is a Foster Home Application and process for those that are interested.
